Virginia Avenue Disturbing the Peace Arrest

On Tuesday February 17th, 2026, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 400 Block of Virginia Avenue for a reported disturbance. Store employees contacted 911 advising that a male subject was acting erratically inside the business, and threatening staff. Upon arrival, officers observed the individual continuing to yell profanities and cause a disturbance. The individual was identified as Michael William Magio. Maggio was placed under arrest and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing before a District Court Commissioner.
