Virginia Following Maryland In Trying To Control Drug Costs
Affordability advocates in Virginia may soon get across the finish line with their own prescription drug advisory board, similar to Maryland’s. “Folks will stop taking a drug if they can’t afford it, or they will start skipping doses or cutting pills in half. Doing things that are not safe and not to the long-term benefit of their own health because they have no choice. It’s between that and putting food on the table, keeping a roof over their head.”
