Virginia Lawmakers Approve Paid Family Leave

Virginia lawmakers recently gave final approval to paid family and medical leave in the Commonwealth last week.  The law provides workers with 80% of their pay for up to 12 weeks while on leave for medical or family emergencies. It will be funded by a small increase in the payroll tax paid by employers and employees.
