America’s 250th birthday is being celebrated a week early in Western Maryland with a large parade and party scheduled for Saturday in downtown Cumberland. The parade will go through downtown beginning at 1pm with a party to follow.  WCBC will be bringing listeners live coverage of the parade with hosts Alex McDonald and Andee Thompson…

“I think it’s exciting Cumberland’s doing a 250th anniversary parade and I’m excited that WCBC is bringing Andee Thompson and myself, Big Al, together. It’s going to be an exciting parade with over 55 floats in it and 500 participants. I think it’s going to be a great day for festivities.”
