West Second Street Burglary Arrest
On Sunday, February 1, 2026 at approximately 9:57 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the first block of W. Second Street for a breaking and entering in progress. Police arrived and contacted the suspect, Natarsha Pownall-Fussell, who reported that she had been assaulted by a male subject at the residence. Pownall-Fussell then threatened to burn down the residence. Officers then contacted the resident who reported that Pownall-Fussell was asked to leave numerous times prior to her forcing her way into the residence and assaulting another occupant at the property who was trying to block the door to prevent her from getting inside. After further investigation, Pownall-Fussell was placed under arrest. During a search of her person, she was found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. She was transported to Central Booking and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. She was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on a temporary commitment.
