WV $1 Billion Calpine Corporation Investment

Calpine LLC, a business unit of Constellation, is moving forward with the development of a natural gas power plant in Moundsville, West Virginia, marking a more than $1 billion private-sector investment in the Mountain State’s energy economy.  Calpine’s investment in the plant would exceed $1 billion and is expected to create more than 400 construction jobs along with approximately 25 permanent jobs once operational.  The project represents one of the largest energy investments in Marshall County’s history.
