Governor Patrick Morrisey has declared a state of emergency to provide relief from high diesel fuel prices.  During the 60-day state of emergency, drivers using red-dyed diesel will see a lower price per gallon and penalties related to using red dyed diesel on highways will be waived.  In Morrisey’s announcement, he said lowering diesel prices affects everyone…

“By making this move and allowing businesses and drivers to use this fuel on our highways without facing penalties, that gives people another way to lower their costs. And when the cost of moving goods comes down, these savings can reach consumers at a high level.”
