During the early morning hours of November 28, 2011, Allegany County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation into a reported stabbing incident which had taken place at a location on Bear Hill Road, Oldtown, Allegany County, Maryland. The victim of the assault suffered non life threatening injuries as a result of this incident and was treated and released from the Western Maryland Regional Hospital in Cumberland. A suspect was developed and charges were later filed on that suspect. The suspect was identified as Jacob Lewis of Cumberland, Maryland. Mr. Lewis was charged with several criminal charges to include first and second degree assault. Mr. Lewis was taken before the District Court of Allegany County for an initial appearance. Mr. Lewis was incarcerated on $25,000 bond following the hearing. Investigation continues with additional arrests anticipated.
