Foote Apologies and Offers Explanation of Absence
Allegany County Board of Education member, Wayne Foote, apologized to the community for his absence from the Allegany County Commissioners meeting on Thursday, October 22nd, where the County's funding of the new Allegany High School was discussed again. Foote explained he was not aware other Board members were planning to attend.
Metz Says Pressure On To Assure Alco Construction
Former Allegany County Board of Education member Jeff Metz told WCBC's Dave Norman Thursday morning that should the Allegany County Commissioners come up with additional funding for the Allegany High School project, he believes the school board will come up with sufficent cuts to make the project a go at a lower total cost.
Metz said there are a number of areas in the project that could be modified or dropped in order to get the price tag down to a number where all funding partners could agree, and a new facility would be built…
