50% Capacity Restrictions in Effect for Local Businesses

With the coronavirus surge continuing, public businesses, including restaurants, are now under a new set of guidelines to help fight the rapidly spreading COVID-19 cases across Allegany County. The County Commissioners, in a letter to residents released Tuesday morning, pointed to COVID-19 numbers escalating at a rate three times higher than the state of Maryland.  As a result, a 50% capacity is now in place for indoor dining at restaurants; outdoor amusements, such as miniature golf and go-kart tracks; indoor fitness, gyms, martial arts, dance and other studio-type activities; as well as casinos, arcades and malls will be limited.
