The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2023 Outstanding Business Recognition honorees. The Entrepreneurial Spirit Award will go to downtown Cumberland businessman Michael Harris of Pepper in A Bottle. The Community Service Award will be presented to Carl and Jane Belt and The Business of the Year is Potomac Valley Hospital. The winner of the non-profit organization of the year will be announced at the annual reception. Nominees are the Allegany Arts Council, the Allegany County Historical Society, and the Allegany County Library System. The Western Maryland Jaycees Outstanding Young Professional Award will be presented to Keira Shilling. The awards will be presented on November 9th in the Lane Center at Frostburg State University.
