On Friday the Cumberland Police served a Criminal Summons on William Davis, age 42, of Cumberland, Md. The Summons stemmed from a January 24, 2019 incident where the Cumberland Police responded to the 100 block of Greene St. for William Davis creating a disturbance. When officers arrived they found that Davis had attempted to get the occupants of the residence to open the door. When they refused to open it, Davis intentionally caused damage to the door. Subsequently, an Application for Charges was filed and a Criminal Summons was issued by District Court. Davis was served with the Criminal Summons charging him with malicious destruction of property under $1000. He was then released pending trial in District Court.
