City Police Arrest Man on Assault Charges

On June 6, 2017 the Cumberland Police responded to a business on Queen City Drive for a disturbance.  Police learned Lenzlea Fairfax Mosby III and an adult male subject were involved in an argument inside the business.  The male subject then exited the business and was followed by Mosby.  Another verbal argument occurred between Mosby and the male subject.  Mosby then pulled out a knife and began swinging it at the male victim while making threats to him.  The male victim was able to get away and the police arrived.  During the investigation witnesses were interviewed, evidence was collected, and videos were observed.  Mosby was arrested for his actions during the incident.  As he was placed under arrest he began yelling and threatening officers.  Mosby was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on a bond of $7500.  He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next appearance in District Court.  The male victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Charges:  1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault, Dangerous Weapon-Intent/Injure, Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey a Reasonable and Lawful Order, Disturbing the Peace, and Reckless Endangerment
