City Police Make Warrant & Burglary Arrests

On July 9th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police Department arrested David Allen Mullen, age 54, of Rawlings MD. Mullen was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failing to appear in Allegany County District Court on a previous charge of trespassing on private property. Mullen was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on a $1000 bond.

**Adult Arrest**

On July 9th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police Department arrested Marvin David Perry Jr, age 41, of Cumberland MD. Perry was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for stemming from an incident which occurred on June 28, 2019. During that incident, the Cumberland City Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Quebec Ave for the report of an assault. Once on scene, Officers spoke to a male victim who advised that Perry had come to the residence and started a verbal altercation. The victim attempted to get Perry to leave the property and avoid any further altercation. It was at this time, Perry allegedly kicked open the door and assaulted the victim. The victim advised they were pushed to the floor before being punched and choked by Perry. The victim’s injuries were treated on scene by members of the Cumberland City Fire Department. Perry had fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Perry’s arrest.

Perry was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on a $5000 bond.

Charges:   Burglary 3rd Degree, Burglary 4th Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Disturb the Peace, Destruction of Property.

 

**Adult Arrest**

 

On July 9th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police Department arrested Christopher Allen Martin, age 29, of Corriganville MD. Martin was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failing to appear in Allegany County District Court on a previous CDS paraphernalia charge. Martin was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on a $3000 bond.

Arrested:   Christopher Allen Martin        Age: 29

Charges:   Bench Warrant – Failure to Appear
