The Cumberland Mayor and City Council and the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation received updates Tuesday on a number of projects under development- and it was a glowing report. Updates on the Baltimore Street Access project; the Messick Road commercial development and the housing complex planned for the former Memorial Hospital location are all now moving forward- and city officials are now getting calls about potential new projects on a steady basis. CEDC executive director Matt Miller said it is difficult to pinpoint, but whatever the reason, Cumberland has suddenly become a hot target for economic development opportunities….
