Anirban Basu, of the Sage Policy Group, was the special guest speaker at last week’s meeting of the Greater Cumberland Committee- with a focus on the future of the region’s economy. Basu is Chairman & CEO of Sage Policy Group, Inc., an economic and policy consulting firm in Baltimore and is one of the Mid-Atlantic region’s most recognizable economists. The Sage Group was instrumental in helping to develop a strategic economic development plan for the city of Cumberland. Basu said that if the region can create new housing opportunities for young professionals- he can see a tremendous boost to the local economy in the near future…
