I-70 Accident

The Hagerstown barrack worked a motor vehicle accident on E/B I-70 at Exit 35 which occurred at on Friday afternoon.   A 2011 Volvo tractor trailer driven by Frederick White of Parkville, MD traveling E/b I-70 in Lane #1 at Exit 35 slowed due to traffic.  An empty tanker truck, a 2000 Mack being driven by John Serio of Westminster, MD was traveling in lane #1 behind the Volvo.  The Mack was unable to stop and Jack Knifed striking the rear of the Volvo unit.  There were no injuries and both drivers refused medical treatment.  The tanker was an empty bulk trailer.  The Mack had a ruptured fuel cell.   The interstate was closed for approximately 3 hrs. for clean up. The driver of the Mack was charged for the accident.
