Mayor Damon Tillman says he would like for the citizens of Keyser to become more involved in their city government. The mayor is inviting everyone to come to City Hall for an open house on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 5-8 p.m. so they have a chance to see how their city government works.
In a previous city council meeting, Tillman had lamented that so many people use social media to discuss or criticize city government, yet no one shows up to voice their concerns during the twice-monthly meetings. During the open house, city employees will be on hand, at their desks, to answer questions or otherwise just chit-chat with the public.
