Moore Wants Maryland Out Front With AI

In Governor Moore’s state of the state speech, he alluded to new investments in training Marylanders in artificial intelligence to build a robust cyber workforce…

“Maryland is investing $4 million dollars to give our workers hands-on training to succeed in the AI economy so they are not left behind.”

The governor’s office has released information on that funding, to be administered through three grant programs. The funding includes $2.5 million toward quality internships and upskilling in Maryland’s lighthouse industries and $1.5 million in supervised training for aspiring cyber professionals through hands-on work providing cybersecurity services to community groups and small businesses.
