Arrest Warrant Served

On April 17th, 2026 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Shawn Allen Spears. The warrant was issued after an investigation into an assault reported by a victim on April 10th, 2026. The victim advised that Spears had touched them inappropriately and forced himself on them. Officers were able to corroborate the victim’s statement using witness accounts and video surveillance. Once charges were filed, Spears was placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking. He was presented before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany Detention Center without bond.
