WV Governor Signs Small Business Growth Act

Governor Patrick Morrisey has signed the Small Business Growth Act. The act establishes a tax credit for West Virginia employers with fewer than 200 employees whose workforce is made up of 60% of West Virginia residents. Morrisey says the credit will allow small businesses to receive more capital than they could before…
“We’ve allocated $15 million a year for that purpose. Tax credits won’t be deducted until 2029, but this is a nice way to really infuse new capital into small businesses. So, I’m eager to see this succeed, and I think it’s gonna be another tool in the toolbox to help West Virginia.”
