Cresaptown Elementary In Brief SECURE Status Thursday

On Thursday afternoon, a suspicious male approached the playground area at Cresaptown Elementary School while students and staff were outside and began yelling. A staff member immediately notified the Board of Education School Safety Employee assigned to the school. The employee attempted to make contact with the individual, who then fled the area on foot. The employee followed the individual until a Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer arrived and detained him. The individual was identified as 40-year-old Zachary John Prettyman of Glenolden, PA..  The school was placed into a secure status, and students were safely brought inside the building.
