South Street Assault Arrest

On Sunday, May 10, 2026 at approximately 4:25 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the first block of South Street for an assault. Police arrived and contacted Devin Shreve. Shreve was uncooperative and obstructed the officers from investigating the assault complaint. Officers placed Shreve under arrest; however, he resisted. Shreve was taken into custody after assaulting two officers. He was seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
