A 348,000 square foot facility in Mexico Farms is being fitted out for a new manufacturer to the area. Kingspan Roofing and Waterproofing is settling in to the former Hunter Douglas plant in Mexico Farms. Kingspan committed to the area in 2024 and is working on outfitting the plant for their needs. Allegany County Commissioner Bill Atkinson shared an update on the plant with WCBC…

“We are working now with the state to access rail to that area. They are now working on the building. They open up sometime this fall. They have a west coast plant. This is their first east coast plant. They’re looking at $20 to $25 an hour. They’re looking to hire upwards of 95 to start.”
