Comptroller Reflects On EITC Campaign

With the bulk of tax season over for the state of Maryland, Comptroller Brooke Lierman is taking a backward glance at how many more residents took advantage of tax breaks this year. One main push for the Comptroller’s office has been encouraging families to take the Earned Income Tax Credit, or EITC. Lierman said that her office did see a bump in filers taking the credit…
“We are putting together all the numbers now, but we had a huge reach. Really excited to see more people filing to claim their money because that helps them join the middle class and more. Overall, we’re really excited about how it went this year and are going to build on that progress.”
