County Student Lauded for Heroism

UPMC Western Maryland’s Jeff Hobbs, Trauma Program Manager, recently presented a special award to Anny Platt, a fourth-grader at Cresaptown Elementary. Earlier this spring, Anny’s mom, Crystal McKinley, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at her home. Anny called 911 and started CPR until her sister Abby arrived.
