TerraSpark Chosen For New WV Coal Facility

TerraSpark Energy will be building a new West Virginia coal-fired power plant at Mount Storm in Grant County. The TerraSpark Energy Campus will deliver 1.6 gigawatts of next-generation coal-fired power with carbon capture technology on land adjacent to the Mount Storm energy complex, creating up to 500 permanent jobs. Federal funding of $18.5 million dollars came through President Trump invoking the Defense Production Act. Governor Patrick Morrisey spoke with the President about the funding…
“We believe that your policies are going to allow America to compete and win. And West Virginia is going to supply the coal, the gas, the nuclear to help make that happen. So, I’m very excited by everything you’re doing.”
