Parade To Be Followed By Festival

As Cumberland prepares to celebrate America’s 250^th birthday, both a parade and special festival are in the works for downtown Cumberland.  An America250 parade will make its way down Baltimore Street Saturday, June 27^th at 1pm followed by an afternoon festival to continue the celebration.  Main Street Manager Melinda Kelleher tells WCBC there will be events for everyone…

“We’re going to have DJ Jimmy Hook playing music out by the water fall. The Allegany Arts Council – they will be doing free face painting. The streets will be closed and there will be an open container in place. We’re going to have about five or six food trucks and we’re working on some breweries.”
