Political newcomer Leona McTaggart is running as a Republican for Allegany County Commissioner.  McTaggart appeared on Tuesday’s Dave Norman Morning Show and explained why she is running…

“I am not currently happy with the way our county is going. And that I’m that type of person that I can either sit back and watch it happen or stand up and do something about it and make a change. And what I want to do is I want to is have a more transparent and accessible county government.”

McTaggart added that citizens need clear answers from elected officials.

“I believe that the public isn’t being made aware of things that are happening and major decisions are being made without communicating it to everybody as to why they are being made – and that’s why there are so many questions that are being asked.”
