Now that the Maryland State Board of Elections has sent a corrected mail-in ballot to over 500,000 voters, the question turns to how those votes will be counted when returned.  State Elections Administrator Jared DeMarinis spoke with WBAL, saying there are specific protocols now in place for those ballots and that the voting canvas will be trustworthy…

“Voters can trust the system. The system is very open. It’s transparent. The canvas is for public observation, the political parties are well represented there, everything is done in front of a bipartisan local board of canvassers. The state board is bipartisan. You know, everything that we do is transparent and secure.”
