The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Seattle Mariners Thursday afternoon, 5-1, giving them a winning record at the season’s midpoint.  The Bucs are 41-40, their first winning record through 81 games in three years.  Bubba Chandler was the winning pitcher and Henry Davis added a two run homer.
