State Announces SUN Bucks Launch for 2026

Governor Moore has announced the launch of the 2026 Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer program. Known as SUN Bucks, the program runs through August to ensure no child goes hungry when schools close for summer. “A lot of families that are eligible don’t realize they qualify for this. There’s a free app called Propel that can help families navigate EBT including figuring out eligibility, whether they need to apply, and how to use the benefits. It also helps people manage their SNAP benefits by letting people check their EBT balance and track their spending.”
