Weber Street Assault Arrest

On Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department responded to an address on Weber Street regarding a disturbance report. Upon arrival, officers located two subjects, a male and a female, inside the home. Both advised that an argument had ensued regarding the current living arrangements. The argument escalated and it was alleged that the male subject had been assaulted with a box of chicken. At this time, the involved subjects were advised of their rights in District Court and told to separate for the day. Before officers cleared the scene, the two subjects began arguing again over a property exchange issue. It was at this time, the officers observed the female throw a beverage on the male. As a result, Kayla Marie Winstanley, 32, was placed under arrest. She appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance where she was released on her own recognizance.

ARRESTED – Kayla Marie Winstanley, 32yo.
CHARGES – Assault 2nd Degree.
