Listener Would Like to See Veteran Banners Return

A frequent caller to WCBC, Jim Webster, shared with WCBC on Tuesday how many small towns in the area have banners hanging along their streets to honor hometown veterans.  He said it was disappointing that downtown Cumberland did not have something similar as they did before the Baltimore Street remodel…

“It’s a long time coming because it’s actually been out for a couple years in other towns, you know. I’ve seen it. It isn’t just because it’s the 250th anniversary that they’ve done this. So, I really think somebody needs to do more than put a bug in the mayor’s ear.”
