Red Cross Calls for Donors Amidst Emergency Blood Supply Shortage

The American Red Cross has issued an emergency blood supply shortage nationwide.  In June alone, blood supply fell nearly 25%.  Jason Keeling with the Red Cross says this is mainly due to regular donors being preoccupied with family summer vacations and adventures.  At the same time, with vacations and adventures comes injuries which increases the need for blood, specifically types O positive and B negative…
