Centre Street Arrest for Assault, Resisting Arrest, CDS

On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers responded to a business in the 100 Block of South Centre Street for the report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, Officers observed the suspect, Dustin Adams, in a fight with staff. Adams resisted arrest and repeatedly created a disturbance while being escorted from the property. Once outside, Adams attempted to flee from the Officers. A search incident to his arrest yielded a large quantity of multiple controlled dangerous substances. Adams was then transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he awaits his initial appearance before a district court commissioner.
