Shapiro Signs Pennsylvania Budget

Governor Josh Shapiro signed off on Pennsylvania’s 2027 fiscal year budget this week. The governor said the budget was a bipartisan effort within Pennsylvania’s divided legislature. The $51 billion dollar budget expands education spending, leaves the rainy day fund untouched, and reflects the 5.4% economic growth of the state since last year. Shapiro said he was pleased with the work done in Harrisburg…
“And this budget and those revenues allowed us to make important investments and still have an eight-billion dollar budget surplus at the end of this fiscal year. This is the fourth budget in a row where we cut taxes and never raised them.”
