Society’s Plans Fill Heritage Days Weekend

The Allegany County Historical Society has a packed weekend for those attending the annual Heritage Days Festival in September.  Almost forty vendors have confirmed for the event as well as fifteen food and beverage vendors.  In addition to the return of the MacMillan Pipe Band and Sunday’s lunch with local musicians on the mainstage, Dave Williams, president of the society, says they are working to bring 18th century musicians as well…

“We’re working with Mountainside Baroque to bring in a group of 18th century musicians who will play at various different places and various different combinations through the Heritage Days weekend.  So, they may appear at the Gilchrist, they may appear at Emmanuel Church, and we certainly want them to appear on our main stage as well.”
