Caporale Points To Culture For Meetings Violations

Continuing looks back at Allegany County open meeting violations have resulted in a more buttoned-up approach to closed meetings, open work sessions, and public meetings.  WCBC asked Commission President Dave Caporale if there was person or persons to be blamed for the violations occurring, but he says it had been normalized over years…

“I’m not going to blame somebody else for something that happens that we’re all involved in. I think some of the things were some of the culture – a few of the forms and stuff like that weren’t being provided for our meetings and such or after the meetings acknowledging executive session – they never did that. They hadn’t done that long before I was even there.”
