Traffic Disruptions begin today in downtown Cumberland

Traffic access downtown Cumberland will be disrupted beginning today.

Single Digit Block of Frederick Street will be disrupted throughout the week during the hours of 7AM and 3PM. Access will remain to this portion of Frederick Street, but may be limited to either northbound or southbound traffic access depending on the needs of crews to operate safely to install pedestrian crossing in the area.

The sidewalk alone South Liberty Street between Baltimore Street and Dexter’s Alley will be close beginning today through August 31st to allow for construction crews to install a new water line, a gas line and an ADA ramp into 71 Baltimore Street as part of the Timbrook project. Dexter’s alley between South Centre Street and South Liberty Street remains closed for the project.

Detours will be in place. Please follow all posted signage and obey workers direction in the work zone.
