McKay Says Ballot Wording Is Vague

The coming November election is going to include a vote on a constitutional amendment concerning congressional redistricting.  Senator Mike McKay says the wording on the ballot may be difficult to understand for voters, and doesn’t include the entirety of what is being voted on because of language in the bill that was passed in special session last week…

“They’re going to think this is about maps and it is about maps as they can be possibly redrawn but it really is worded in such a way to be word salad and unfortunately, the bill last year that said you’ve got to have plain language – we’ve stripped that out of it. But what it doesn’t do is it doesn’t tell you there are rights being taken away.”
