City May Name Alley After Mark Manges

Last Saturday a marker was dedicated to Mark Manges at Greenway Avenue Stadium.  Manges was a standout athlete at Fort Hill in the early 1970s and went on to a stellar career in football at the University of Maryland.  He headed up the Greenway Avenue Stadium Improvement Committee and was praised on WCBC by Cumberland Mayor Ray Morriss, who said the city has plans to remember Manges.  Morriss mentioned an alley near Fort Hill High School that may bear Manges’s name.
