County Designates September as Suicide Awareness Month

The Allegany County Commissioners are proclaiming September Suicide Awareness Month.  Between June of 2021 and June of 2026, 2,067 individuals in Allegany County were hospitalized involving suicide and intentional self-harm.  Justin Davis, Local Behavioral Health Authority Director at the county’s health department says talking and sharing available resources can help…
