Christmas Lights Coming to City of Keyser

New Christmas decorations will be lining U.S. 220 through Keyser this holiday season. New four-by-six-foot Christmas ornaments were purchased for the light poles with $20,000 from businesses and residents. An additional $30,000 is needed for electrical work. Mineral County Delegate Gary Howell provided an economic assistance grant of $5,000. Howell hopes the investment will attract families who will stay and shop the area…
“While we’re here, let’s get something to eat, or maybe we’ll do a little Christmas shopping at some of the stores here and spend some money here. So, we know we’ll get money back. It’ll help the economy. We’re also hoping that other individuals and businesses along the route say, “hey, I’m going to put a bunch of Christmas lights out too just to join the fun!’”
