Ascend WV Receives $2.4 Million
A chunk of funds from West Virginia’s Rural Health Transformation Program will be used by the state’s Ascend WV program. Ascend uses financial and lifestyle incentives to encourage worker relocation to the state and will use the $2.4 million dollars to recruit healthcare professionals to rural communities statewide. Governor Patrick Morrisey says healthcare workers will help grow the state…
“These are the things that are essential. They’re part of what is absolutely needed in order to make sure that West Virginia is going to grow that workforce participation rate, we’re going to move the needle in terms of those diseases and really make a big difference in the next few decades.”
