Pyles Warns Drug Dealers

There has been an increase recently in arrests around drug possession and intent to distribute in the Cumberland area.  Cumberland Police Chief Jim Pyles tells WCBC News that is due to a concentrated effort of resources against drugs in the region…

“The Cumberland Police Department has made the largest commitment in the history of the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force and we are putting every available resource to fight this fight.”

The chief has a message for those breaking the law…

“To the drug dealers in the City of Cumberland; we’re coming. We’re going to investigate you. When you hear a car pull up in front of your house, your heart is going to go to your stomach. When you see a car pull up next to your car, your heart is going to go to your stomach because you don’t know if today is the day. We are not letting up and we are coming for you.”
