Queen City Pavement Breaking and Entering Arrest

On Sunday, September 20th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a city owned property on Queen City Pavement regarding a reported breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers located items indicating that subjects had been staying on the property for some time. Shortly thereafter, officers located three subjects attempting to leave the property. As a result, Eric Leighton Christopher Brewington, 26, Kaitlyn Marie Alexander, 28, and Akhir Lovie Taylor, 20, all of Cumberland MD, were placed under arrest. All three subjects appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance. Alexander and Taylor were later released on their own recognizance. Brewington was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was held on a $500 bond.
