Dumbhundred Nomination To Be Reviewed

A new historic district in North Cumberland is set to be reviewed in mid-October. The Dumbhundred Historic District centers on the area of Columbia Street between Henderson Avenue and the hillside surrounding St. Patrick’s Cemetery. The nomination will be considered on October 20^th by the Governor’s Consulting Committee. A National Register listing for the district would recognize historical significance and qualifying properties could become eligible for tax incentives, grants, or other assistance.
