Maryland Places On Lonely Planet’s Best

Governor Wes Moore announced that Maryland is part of Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2027 list, placing the state among 50 destinations and experiences around the world selected by Lonely Planet’s global community of travel experts. The recognition highlights Maryland’s distinctive combination of history, culture, outdoor recreation, food, waterways and vibrant communities—from Baltimore and Annapolis to the Eastern Shore, Southern Maryland and Western Maryland.
