Canal Place Closer To New Director

Since the retirement in June of longtime Canal Place Preservation Authority Director Dee Dee Richie, the search for a replacement has been ongoing.  At Tuesday’s Canal Place board meeting, board member Brad Nixon indicated that five individuals would be interviewed for the position beginning this week. Chairperson Colleen Peterson outlined what happens once the search committee presents a final candidate to the board…

“The recommendation of the board will then go to the governor for his review and approval. And then the process goes to the negotiations with the candidate to determine if the candidate accepts the position and a start date.”
